A View from My Office Window
Chapter Four
Since Chapter Three, nothing seriously has changed. I’m still residing in Fairhope, Alabama and honestly, this is the greatest place in which I have ever lived. Martha and I have moved many times and owned eight houses, but we are still amazed at how much we enjoy Fairhope Living including the house, weather, friends and the beauty of peaceful southern living. A wonderful place to retire.
My family, that is, my two eldest sons and daughter, are also living in Alabama. My youngest son Charles is still in Taylor, Michigan but we have hope that someday he’ll make the move to join us. It’s good to have family near by and of course, they keep calling to check up on us. A good feeling! Martha and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last May and we had a little party to mark the event with family and friends. A couple of pictures of that event are included for your amusement. Fifty years have produced four children, six grand children and two great grand children. Of course, the young ones are still at it and who knows what the numbers will be next year.
Martha is still writing and has to date, published 17 books with more on the way. Her URL is at the end of my presentation. Give a Look! Health wise we’re doing pretty good, probably due to the great medical personnel that abide here in the Fairhope area. This place is full of old people and they’ve got the staff to keep us going. I did have knee surgery about 5 months ago and its finally feeling normal. Problem is, the other knee is starting to go. Forget it, once was enough!
The next task is to choose the pictures for this endeavor. I hope you like what’s next and feel free to send your comments.
